Who is Judy Brentnall?

I am the daughter of a Methodist/Uniting Church minister, and a life-long member of the Uniting Church. I have worked at many jobs over the years but had to retire in 1990 after being diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

I moved to the Blue Mountains at this time (1993) and established and ran a support group for sufferers, and was involved with other local community work.

Early in 2003 I felt called to ministry. I was ordained by an independent church, St Luke Evangelical Christian Ministries, and moved back to Sydney to study theology at United Theological College. In addition to the activities required by my study I have worked as a chaplain at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and visited with detainees at Villawood Detention Centre. I moved back to the Mountains in 2005.

I have been conducting Christian Funerals since 2004 and have found this work profoundly satisfying. To be offered the privilege of participating in the most vulnerable time in people's lives is very humbling, and I do my best to provide a comforting and practical approach to this service.

I am an authorized Civil Marriage Celebrant and Justice of the Peace, and am honoured to conduct wedding services for people who are in love. I am more than happy to guide you through the legal mazes, and to assist you in creating a personal and meaningful marriage ceremony which will be memorable for all who attend.

I am pleased to be able to offer my services for the "other" special times in your lives. I am comfortable leaving out religion in all but Funeral Services.

I will do my best to provide you with individual and personal ceremonies that fill your needs.

I am happy to travel to your chosen location.
